LEONARDITE
Leonardite, an important source of humic and fulvic acids, is another organic matter source used in soil conditioners produced by Alternatif Tarım. The organic matter level of the leonardite used in production is over 50%, and its humic acid content of around 40% provides a significant advantage. In addition, its appropriate pH level (6.5) and salt-free nature provide great benefits in its agricultural use.
Completely organic in origin and formed over hundreds of thousands of years, Leonardite improves the chemical and physical quality of the soil by providing humic and fulvic acids in addition to organic matter. Leonardite increases the uptake of plant nutrients with the organic acids it provides, especially in calcareous-rich environments like Turkey. In other words, it dissolves nutrient elements such as phosphorus and potassium that have accumulated in our soils as a result of incorrect fertilization for years, and enables the uptake of these nutrients. Due to its high water holding capacity, Leonardite prevents irrigation water from immediately leaving the soil, ensuring low water consumption. Alternatif Tarım A.Ş. uses leonardite (containing 50% humic acid) obtained from our country’s best Leonardite beds in its production.
