PEAT (TORF)
The main input of the organic matter source, which is indispensable for soil or growing medium in organic agriculture, is peat. Alternatif Tarım meets its peat needs from freshwater source beds located in Adıyaman Gölbaşı. The peat used in production has a fibrous structure with a pH of 6-6.5 and is salt-free. Another advantage of the peat we use in production is that it has been sterilized (110°C) and therefore does not contain nematodes or weed seeds.
